Thatch Roof

Thatch Roof is made from dry vegetation like reeds, palm leaves, Coconut Leaves, and straw. One cannot miss the Thatched roof made of Coconut leaves while visiting South India. Thatch roof is made of materials available locally and from dry vegetation, thus entirely made from sustainable, eco-friendly, and upcycled resources. It is a wholesome solution for roofing while also doing its part in tackling climate change and reducing global warming.
Thatch roofs are Nine to Twelve inches in thickness; as a result, it provides excellent cover from high temperatures. Due to their dense construction, the thatch roof doesn't burn and only smolders when coming in contact with fire. Also, its slope construction provides excellent cover from the rain. When teaming it up with modern-day Fire Retardant sprays and water-resistant solutions, even their minor shortcomings are taken care of.
